We are fully committed to assuring our products are of the highest quality and meet or exceed all of the required standards.
On 1st July 2013 it became mandatory for manufacturers and distributors to declare the performance and apply CE Marking to any of their products which are covered by a harmonised European Standard (hEN).
The CE Mark on our bricks is your assurance that they are safe, standardised and fit for purpose, and our way of demonstrating that we have met all of the legal standards necessary to supply our bricks across the EU.
For brick products to earn a CE Mark, there is a three-stage process:
1. Factory Production Control
Whichever factory bricks are made in, there must be clear documentation detailing the entire manufacturing process from the excavation of the clay, through the moulding and firing process, to quality control and packing. This ensures a consistent quality product, every time.
Tests must be carried out to internationally agreed standards at a recognised test centre; all of our bricks are extensively tested at Lucideon.
3. Declaration of Performance
The fixing of a Declaration of Performance label in a prominent position on pallets effectively declares the performance of the bricks in line with testing and provides assurance that a quality product is being supplied.
